Canberra

Inspired Needleworks will be attending The Jane Austen Festival in Canberra 21-23rd April.
We are presenting our talk ‘Jane Austen’s Quilt – The History and the Making’ three times over the three days. We will take our attendees on our journey through the research undertaken to recreate a replica quilt of our own. They will hear about a passion to unlock the quilt’s story from the fabrics the Austen’s used to the techniques employed to achieve a quilt which is a masterpiece in design and complexity.

We also will take this opportunity to take part in the activities of all things Austen. From breakfast with the Bennets to a Regency Ball or two. Food, fashion, regency ettiquette and of course Jane’s literary efforts. It will be a perfectly ‘agreeable’ weekend.

New quilt

The Jane Austen Festival in Canberra will see the launch of our newest pattern in our Jane Austen inspired collection of needleworks.

From the Pen of Jane Austen will take you on a journey through her writings and life. Little stitcheries and quotes illustrate that which was treasured by Jane. This quilt is designed to be made in blocks, which are pieced from small blocks and embroideries. The journey continues as each block is worked through.

The pattern is a 56 page spiral bound workbook and is a treasure to keep forever on your book shelf. The is not a complicated pattern and can be achieved by the a quilt maker with limited experience. The quilt is machine pieced with hand appliqué and embroidery in its simplest form.

New website

Welcome to Inspired Needleworks’ new website. Previously our Jane Austen Quilt pattern and sampler pattern were distributed through my website called rosaleeclark.com.au. With the expansion of our range and inclusion of further new products, a new website and look was called for. It is an exciting time for us with the launch of the new website coinciding with our visit to the Jane Austen Festival in Canberra 21-23rd.
